Case Manager on the Child Study Team (CST)

Each student identified as eligible for special education services is assigned a Case Manager—a certified member of the Child Study Team. The Case Manager:

• Coordinates the development, implementation, and monitoring of your child’s IEP.

• Communicates regularly with you, your child’s teachers, and team members.

• Ensures school accommodations and goals are being delivered and adapted as needed.

• Oversees procedural timelines and the annual review or reevaluation process.

• Leads transition planning when applicable, engaging both student and family in future‑focused goals.

• Acts as your primary point of contact at school regarding all special services.
